Mr. Hart practices primarily in the areas of real estate, commercial transactions and general business law, serving as the Chairman of the Real Estate Department of the Firm. He holds an AV rating from the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, and has practiced in the Daytona Beach area since admission to the Bar in 1977.
Mr. Hart is a 1971 graduate of Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Following three years of military service in the U.S. Army, he attended law school at the University of Florida College of Law, receiving his Juris Doctor degree in 1976. He is a member of The Florida Bar and American Bar Association, and is an authorized title agent for Attorneys Title Insurance Fund, Inc., Chicago Title Insurance Company, and LandAmerica Title.
Mr. Hart's service to the Bar includes terms as Chairman of the Seventh Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Committee, and Chairman of Committee "C" of the Seventh Circuit Grievance Committee. He also was appointed and served as Chairman of the 1994 and 1996 Charter Review Commissions of the City of Ormond Beach.
In the community, Mr. Hart is a past president of the Museum of Arts and Sciences, Inc., and currently is a Board of Trustees member and Legal Advisor to the Museum. He has provided leadership service and acted as legal counsel to his church, the First United Methodist Church of Ormond Beach, for more than 10 years.
