Mr. Hubka began practicing as a trial lawyer and now has over 20 years experience in commercial litigation. Currently
he practices with Cobb & Cole’s litigation section but his practice is not limited to commercial litigation. During
his career Mr. Hubka has also developed a practice in the areas of real property, business transactions, corporate and
contract law where his litigation experience is invaluable in crafting solutions to difficult "deal" issues and in
drafting contracts which can withstand scrutiny in litigation. His expansion into these practice areas is primarily
at the request of continuing clients who desired that he personally provide legal services beyond the scope of litigation.
For the past 10 years Martindale-Hubbel has given Mr. Hubka an AV rating.
Mr. Hubka received his Bachelor Of Arts degree with honors from Furman University in 1971 and in 1974 he graduated
from the University Of Florida College Of Law with honors. While in law school Mr. Hubka served as Chairman of the
International Moot Court Team (1973-74) and Executive Editor of the Law Review (1973-74) . Mr. Hubka is a graduate
of the Leadership Daytona program and from 1982-1985 he served on the Board Of Governors of the Young Lawyers Section
of the Florida Bar. Currently Mr. Hubka is active in the Ormond Beach West Rotary Club and serves on the Board Of
Directors for Volusia County Junior Achievement.
Mr. Hubka is a member of the Florida Bar (trial lawyers, real property and health care law practice sections) and
he is a member of the Volusia County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Mr. Hubka is licensed to
practice in all courts of the state of Florida, the United States District Court For the Middle District of Florida
and the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
