A native of Daytona Beach, Ms. Vargas graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond in 1994 with a Bachelor of
Arts degree in English and Sociology. In 1996, Ms. Vargas graduated from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the
University of Richmond, where she received the National Association of Women Lawyers Award and the Book Award for
Professional Responsibility.
Ms. Vargas is admitted to practice in California, Washington, and Florida. Her practice areas include intellectual property,
including trademarks and copyrights, and computer and Internet law. Ms. Vargas regularly presents to professional and student groups on intellectual
property and technology law issues. In addition, Ms. Vargas is President of the Star Center for the Homeless and a member of the
International Trademark Association.
