The Florida Association for Women Lawyers (“FAWL”) is honoring Katherine Hurst Miller with one of its Leaders in the Law Awards at its June meeting at the 2012 Annual Florida Bar Convention. The award recognizes attorneys who have made significant impact in their communities through their legal service or volunteer activities, and who serve as positive role models for FAWL members. Ms. Miller was nominated for the award by the Volusia Flagler Association for Women Lawyers. Ms. Miller will become one of only six local attorneys and judges who have received this award.

Ms. Miller has an active civil litigation practice and is heavily involved in community service with organizations such as the Junior League of Daytona Beach, the Volusia County Bar Association, and the Volusia Flagler Association for Women Lawyers. She also serves as the elected Seventh Circuit representative to the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors.
