Cobb Cole‘s tradition of civic and community involvement in Daytona Beach, DeLand and throughout East Central Florida began with its founders, who understood that businesses should contribute to the general good of the community in which they operate.
The Civic League of the Halifax Area recognized Thomas Cobb’s devotion to the area when it presented him its highest award for distinguished community service and praised Mr. Cobb as a civic leader whose “innate decency and integrity [make him] the natural ally of all that is good and constructive.”
Continuing The Legacy
Our attorneys have followed in their founders’ footsteps, having participated in more than 60 charitable, civic and professional organizations, many having served in elected positions and by appointment to various governmental and civic advisory boards. In 2001, Cobb Cole received the Enterprise Award from the Daytona Beach/Halifax Area Chamber of Commerce for its sustained contributions to the community, beginning with William Cobb, Thomas Cobb and Warren Cole.
Since receiving the Enterprise Award, the level of involvement has increased, and our attorneys have furthered their community engagement in areas of individual interest. In 2011 alone, over 10 percent of the firm’s profits were contributed to various charitable causes.
